2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumMSNBC participates in the swiftboating of Sanders and his supporters
And now the strategy for HRC is revealed.
1. Paint Bernie as if he is just as unstable/dangerous as Trump.
2. Frame yourself (HRC) as the calm candidate.
THAT IS THE STRATEGIC REASON FOR THE SWIFTBOATING OF BERNIE in NEVADA and going forward.
She has apparently given up on party unity. She's trying to drive progressives out, and bring moderate Republicans in.
MSNBC is eating up the swiftboating as if it were a banana split, and Chris Matthews has particularly fallen for it and is catapulting the propaganda. Joy Reid, too.

Where are the arrests if there was so much violence?
As for the despicable tweets, why don't the police call back the phone numbers and arrest the callers?
The entire thing stinks. The actions of the Nevada State Democratic Party are not defensible.
How can we neutralize this? They are trying to box in Bernie and his supporters to be intimidated.
Did Weaver talk about filing suit against NV?

(11,785 posts)I didn't have the stomach for CNN or MSNBC last night, but my guess is that when Wild-Eyed Debbie turned up to talk about those dangerous, violent, no good, very bad, chair-throwing Bernie supporters, no one gently told her that there was no evidence, none, than any chairs had been thrown.
Sometimes the media gets it wrong, and sometimes the media wants it wrong. Retractions are important. If they keep echoing the same narrative going forward, it will be blatantly obvious that this is an intentional smear job, not just shoddy reporting.

Bernie stoking his supporters into a frenzy to keep the money flowing is all we are seeing here.

(1,820 posts)So many posts by HRC supported prove this premises. They sound more like conservatives everyday! And now HRC is courting republicans. Guess the party is dying.

DWS was interviewed and pressed that forcefully as well. I will say I didn't think Jeff Weaver gave a clear description of the vote/rules problems that caused the outrage, that would've been helpful to change the narrative.
This is Clinton's team's MO: divert the public from the election fraud, from the strength of Bernie's issues, from the gravity of her issues, etc. Win every news cycle by blasting the truth of the matter out of the water. Slap whitewash on her and mud on him. Because if the public saw the real issues there would be no contest.

But unstable and dangerous? Whoa, as a Hillary supporter, I haven't heard or read that from anyone for Hillary.

Thousands of channels.....my total bill is 8.64 a month, including taxes.
If you don't watch them, their numbers go down. Then their ads cannot be sold for so much, revenue drops. Pundits don't get paid as much, and many are let go, when this happens.
Hear that Rachel?
DON'T WATCH THEM. IT'S AN 'ADJUSTMENT', BUT NOT MAJOR. That, is how you fight back at corporate media. Don't watch, and they can't sell ads for as much money. JUST DO IT.

By definition, this cannot be done by honest means.

(58,724 posts)It also can mean to show that someone is not qualified, which is I think the intention in this case.
Obviously, he is eligible to compete.
