(14,624 posts)then I remembered former Governor Buddy Roemer. I assume that's who they're voting for? When I voted for PBO last week I noticed there were about 10 or 12 choices for the presidential election, but I forgot about Buddy. Well, anyone but rMoney!
I know it won't last, but I love seeing the numbers for Dems up so high!!!

(1,213 posts)All the Ron Paul Bots I know are voting for Johnson. The rest are not voting. And that's just fine with me! It was odd when I went to early vote last week...half the people in line were PBO supporters like me, the other half were there for the Libertarian! Nobody likes Mitt in Iberia Parish.

(1,213 posts)starting in 2008 because of Ron Paul. They vote for the (R) in state and local elections, but they refuse to vote for the RINO for President. They hated McCain last time, and they despise Romney more! I almost guarantee they are not voting for Romney. A lot of Libertarians in Independent clothing... It's so much fun being a Progressive Democrat in an extremely Republican state! There's always some kind of drama going on with them!

(14,624 posts)You can't be registered as an Independent in Louisiana. I think they call it 'Unaffiliated' or 'No Affiliation', something like that.

(1,330 posts)Only about half of those Democrats will vote Democratic in the presidentioal election.
Other states which are heavily Democratic in voter self-identification and consistently vote Republican in presidential elections are Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky and West Virginia.
