I swear i won't say a word, i would just call the police and say I'm being harassed at the polling station....That is the thing to do, IMO...Don't cause a scene, just call police...

(8,064 posts)they need to be exposed on Tuesday and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM
who is trying to prevent someone from voting needs to be PROSECUTED
for harrassment and for attempt to commit voter fraud by stopping people
from voting.
PRESS CHARGES so these jerks have a criminal record that will follow them around
for the rest of their lives.

(145,242 posts)For my County's Souls to the Polls program, I poll watched at a key early voting location. Luckily in Texas, poll watchers can only watch. I never talked to this idiot and had fun watching him complain to the head election judge.
If one of these idiots try to suppress you vote, report it to your state party. In Texas we are building a file. The Texas State Party has sued the King Street Patriots and True the Vote under Texas law and won the case which is on appeal. In Harris County, the DOJ has election monitors in for early voting to watch these idiots.
The best way to deal with these idiots is document their actions and then hold them accountable for such actions

(332 posts)When I have bee nappraoched by a Tea Bagger at my home or in the community, I:
1. Ask them politely to leave me and my family alone.
2. If they persist, tell them they are wasting their time that both myself and my family do not support their radical agenda and ask the mto leave again.
3. If this has not worked, here if Florida, I tell them that I feel that they are a bodily threat to myself and my family and I will not hesitate to utilize the "Stand Your Ground" law to defend myself and my family.
I have been approached on four occassions by Tea Baggers here in Florida and on most occassions, they stop after I have asked them to leave us alone. Only on one occassion, did I have to resort to the 3rd step. I had two middle aged men approach me in my yard as I was doing yardwork on a Saturday, they identified themselves as being with some local Patriot group. I told them that I would appreciate it if they left my yard, as I was not interested in hearing their lies. One of the men kept getting closer and closer to me and was obviously angry and began to talk in an agitated manner. I again told them to leave my private property and I began to backpedal towards my garage. The angry man kept following me, I then reached the garage and told him "I ill Stand My Ground" (everyone in FLA knows the law) and I reached inside the garage and grabbed my 36 ounce Louisville Slugger Titanium baseball bat and cocked it up in the air. It looked like a fifty yard dash on how fast those bozo's took off out of my yard, hey, they continued to yell shit about Liberals,,,,,but the bottom line is they have NEVER came back to my house.
not only a political dynamic, but a male female one as well. Thanks for the backup....my Louisville is wood, I'm thinking about upgrading to a golf club as I age and physically crumble.

(46,585 posts)SoS Husted has a court ruling that may knock out provisional ballots (just last month a court ruled they must be counted). Between the Rmoney campaign itself and True the Vote and with Husted's assistance, the cheating has been institutionalized.

http://www.sos.state.oh.us/sos/elections/Voters/FAQ/provisional.aspx
What scenarios would require me to cast a provisional ballot?
Any of the following scenarios would require you to cast a provisional ballot on Election Day:
* Your name does not appear on the official poll list for that precinct, or an election official asserts that you are not eligible to vote or is unable to determine your eligibility;
* You are unable or decline to provide the required proof of identity, which includes a current and valid photo identification, military identification, or a copy of a current (within the last 12 months) utility bill (including cell phone bill), bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows your name and current address. (Note: You cannot use as proof of identification a voter registration acknowledgement notice that the board of elections mailed to you.);
* Your name appears on the official poll list for that precinct as having already requested an absentee ballot;
* Your name is marked on the poll list or signature book with a notation that certain registration mailings have been returned as undeliverable;
* A hearing on a challenge to your eligibility as an elector has been postponed until after Election Day;
* Your signature, in the opinion of the precinct officers, does not match the signature on your registration form; or
* Your eligibility to cast a ballot has been challenged by the precinct officials.

(46,585 posts)That's why Husted has been a busy bee in Ohio trying to fine tune the crime to fit the occasion.
I could not believe the Romney campaign was caught "educating" poll workers with the same dishonest bent as True the Vote. The object of the game certainly in Ohio is to make as many Dem-identified voters as possible vote by provisional ballot. They intend to throw those votes out.
I hope you can do something proactive about it. It is so frustrating sitting here in California watching the institutionalized election theft unfold in these states. Aaaarrrrgggghhh.

(54,379 posts)I'd say just get some pals and (this is Texas, remember), come back and "stand your ground" just like the law says you can. It was their idea in the first place. They hardly have grounds to complain about the possible consequences.
