(980 posts)Trump doesn't even have to attack Hillary. The longer she campaigns, the more people dislike her.

The same thing happened in 08. I guess Obama was driving up her negatives? I joke about Trump not attacking her but you know he will right? Her numbers are not going to go up.....

(9,359 posts)Super PACs just chomping at the bit to start running ads against her.
People went over the edge when Kerry was swiftboated, just imagine what they're going to do to former SoS who lied about coming under fire and was stupid enough to put their email on a private server (whether she did anything wrong is irrelevant, it was a stupid move for someone who knew she would run for president) in her home.
The amount of negative ads is going to be mindboggling.

(13,877 posts)Bumping Trump is a toss up in that scenario. That's and what I was referring to.
I'm so glad (not) we're currently offering up the candidate with highest unfavorability rating and the one least able to "bump Trump. Overlooking your convenient Department, that's from consistent polls and the MSM.
Hillary shoots herself in the foot regularly, and I see nothing to indicate that she is discontinuing that practice. The latest...The Clinton "non-profit" Foundation.
So, it isn't over until it's over. You might want to check your superiority and hubris.

(10,126 posts)No, the Director of the FBI said that.
Explain to the class how this is Bernie's fault:
The Clinton foundation stuff is starting to get attention. Forbes weighed in recently
http://www.forbes.com/sites/robertwood/2016/05/16/if-clinton-foundation-helped-hillary-and-bills-friends-so-what/#b9ff03d3bd25
Hillary has no defense for that stuff. They're going to fry her for it.
And Trump is taking more shots at her.
They're just getting warmed up. It has little to do with Bernie. They've been testing negative ads against her since 2014. I think they're going to pummel her mercilessly for the next six months.

(10,126 posts)The only question is : can they counter with worse stuff on Trump?
That's a possibility and may be her best shot.
I do not think this campaign will be about who is the best person for the job. It will be about who is not as bad as the other one with Jill Stein and Gary Johnson getting some protest votes.

(3,687 posts)it drives up her negatives and that's Bernie's fault?
huh.
Cant argue with 'logic' like that

(11,945 posts)The MSM won't state simple facts about her funding, etc., so Bernie has to do it. That alone is worth my monthly donations.

And yet her strange "primary victories" make her appear to be the preferred one.
If there weren't so many murky, questionable primaries it might be easier to swallow this notable discrepancy.

(27,559 posts)The longer the Primary drags on, both Hillary and Bernie will lose more favorability... especially if they (and their followers) keep bashing the shit out of each other.
Full disclosure... I have made a firm decision to support the nominee, not anyone in the Primaries.

Do you "get" that? ZERO votes for a crushing win. That makes those vote totals that seem to be the foundation of your castle into quick sand.
