Corporate Democrats have been given a free ride for too long

Last edited Mon May 16, 2016, 06:41 PM - Edit history (1)

I don't care about republican obstruction, that isn't an excuse for proposing pro corporate legislation while ignoring the middle class. The federal minimum wage is still 7.25, Obamacare is getting more expensive every single year, and next year prices are going to rise substantially again. Obama doesn't even try to pass progressive legislation. He Doesn't Even Try.

Medical costs are rising exponentially, daycare costs and college tuition are incredibly expensive, the cost of living has made the entire nation poor, and wages are stagnant for the working class. Meanwhile 14 billionaires made 140 billion over the last two years. This is in addition to what they already owned.

The billionaires are spending billions in order to buy politicians, and the working class is being punished for it.

Hillary is a part of the 1%, which is the problem. Bernie can do much better than Hillary in beating Trump, or who ever the Republicans end up running

is a nice top income tax rate of 90% like we had under Eisenhower. You'd be surprised how much that one thing would fix, and it wouldn't cost anything to do. Just having enough votes to pass it. Make the top tier something like a million or two, it doesn't even really matter, just somewhere in that ballpark is more than reasonable.

All of this self-overpayment by the top would come to a screeching halt. At the same time, raise the minimum wage to $15 at least.

now that you have to wonder why so many people still fall for it. Guess it's a story they can live with. Anything to avoid facing the fact that there is no longer a political party in this country that represents the concerns of the people who vote.
