I used to read both daily, but they have both become less appealing as of late. Maybe The Daily Beast more so. They've really invested in the "false equivalency/both sides are equally right" model of journalism.

I just loaded Mother Jones. Two of the articles are entitled, "Is the Junk Food Industry Buying the WHO?" and "Big Sugar's Little Lies." Fuck off. Being liberal doesn't mean being a stuck up mind control nazi that hates fun.

Huffington Post is not a bad alternative to CNN's BS. I don't always want to hear this singing to the choir crap without any level of self-criticism. It's not always useful.

And while Mother Jones is good I agree with the "Being liberal doesn't mean being a stuck up mind control nazi that hates fun" sentiment. It get's taken too far and liberalism is made into a caricature of what most really stand for.

I blame Al Gore.

I actually enjoy looking at all sources of news whether they be right or left leaning. You can't fight them if you don't know what they are talking about. I guess I just don't like being in a bubble.
