Related: About this forumChuck Todd is just bending over backwards to convice the MARIST guy
that this is "neck and neck." He is whining about Obama's 6 point lead in IOWA - and if he doesn't like the poll, he looks at the "other numbers", such as approval ratings and ability to handle the economy. Spent a lot of time on New Hampshire - didn't bother to mention that Obama doesn't need New Hampshire. I need to watch Stephanie Miller now.

(14,564 posts)that has been the right wing talking point the last two weeks or so, when it started to become clear that Romney's surge fells short, and the President was starting to uptick a hair. Why does the right wing need to have their poor little ego's babied with this Romney will win BIG or BO will barely win thing?
All election long, BO has had a small lead at least, and at one point a clear lead.
In REALITY, this lends to the idea that Romney will inch out a win, BO will win, or if there is a big win, it will be by the President.
But, a supposedly honest broker like Todd has to codify the weak egos of republicans.

(25,415 posts)Mostly pointing toward Obama. With NV, WI, IA, OH, and NH Obama would have 281 to 257 for Romney. Not a huge electoral win but enough. VA could be in play. That would be 294 to 244. Still not breaking the 300's. I would love to get NC and FL and CO but they are not necessary.
With Romney, if Obama lost NV and IA but kept OH then Romney would win 273 to 265. But IA looks very good for Obama and NV looks solid too.
