Remember, Reddit helped organize the massive turnout in California for Bernie's rally's and also was instrumental in getting new voters to to get registered in California in order for them to vote for Bernie in the primary.
Welcome to the digital age and you're about to witness how truly important social media is.
It's on.

(94,585 posts)...you could protest anywhere you wanted to outside the security zone.
The question you'll need to ask is, do you want to be in Center City where the people are, or be close to the convention arena?

How many cells will be required to hold all the law breakers during convention eh?
One wonders should smarter folks prevail, they will probably force that issue... how many can a cell hold, how far will police forces go against non-violent protests during convention to prevent upsetting the establishment apple cart?

(5,761 posts)tickets aren't hard to get
MineralMan
(146,317 posts)Easy to get, I mean. Especially not for the convention floor.
pinebox
(5,761 posts)Zero. Pretty easy stuff.
MineralMan
(146,317 posts)Your odds of getting inside are virtually zero unless you are a delegate, an alternate or the media. Some volunteers get a pass to the convention, but there is already a long waiting list to become a volunteer at this year's convention.
I think you'll find that you cannot attend the convention, actually. You can go to Philadelphia, but you wont be inside for the convention. It's not happening.
But, maybe you're a national convention delegate. That's a sure way inside.

(1,442 posts)I fully expect the concentrated focus of the last 'primary' to be very vocal, very televised and very pointed...
establishment folks so easily forget '68 convention and what outcomes came of that...
Pulling things our of your ass I see.
I'll be there and IT WAS NOT EASY.

Ignored. I have zero time for regressive Dempublican Moneycrats in my DU responses.

Join the protests, every vote needs to be counted

(26,060 posts)once those people see a Hillary supporters, they scream, curse and call me a tool. Fuck that.

(146,317 posts)If all of them show up, it will be a small crowd, really. But all never show up. Maybe 10% might. Good luck to them.

(5,761 posts)Watch what happens in the coming days/weeks. You're talking a massive turnout.
MineralMan
(146,317 posts)I'm sure the media will devote a little time to any protests or demonstrations that might occur. There will be some, certainly, but they won't be able to disrupt the convention itself. That's not happening. Many, many people remember 1968 and are deeply committed to make sure nothing like that ever happens again.
We had the Republican Convention here in St. Paul in 2008. I live here, and I never went anywhere near the venue. I'm close enough to walk there in about 45 minutes, but there's no way in Hell I'd do that.
But, hey, if folks want to go to Philadelphia and try their luck, who am I to discourage them. Have a good time.
