Boxer Unhinged..."Boo yourself out of the election"

WTF does "Boo yourself out of the election"
even mean???

It is a COMPLETELY meaningless statement
given the context in which it was made!
Does BOOING somehow effect vote totals?

If Sanders loses the convention
the boos would be irrelevant.
If Sanders wins the convention
the boos would also be irrelevant.
In what context can voters
"Boo themselves out of the election"

Sounds more like Boxer was panicked
and feebly tried to scold the convention
into submission?

Barbara Boxer appeared desperate
and unhinged as she incoherently
scolded Sanders supporters
at the Nevada convention.

The Boos were a response to disapproval
of the convention irregularities,
Boxer wrongly assigned/pretended the
disapproval was for Senator Sanders.

Boxer, in a desperate outburst,
praised Hillary and ignored the FACT
THAT THE BOOING was directed at her
and the corrupt convention chair's
biased support for Hillary.

Boxer's seemed panicked as she tried
to praise Hillary in the fact of an
unexpected challenge to rigging
of the convention results.

Boxer was clearly out of her element
outside of the cordial and managed
settings she is accustomed to.
Dealing with REAL voters is much
more difficult than the cordial backroom
dealings with which she is accustomed.

Like most Congress Critters, she is inept
and easily shaken when she is off script
and her narrative fails to win
the audience approval.

in how Hillary is treated.

the ammo is the same and was used against Kerry. Kerry volunteered to go to viet nam. Bush, the coward that he is, found a loophole to stay in the US. Kerry, who actually did something, was ridiculed and called names and his record in viet nam was turned into a huge negative.

So now we have Hillary - Secretary of State, who could have enjoyed her wealth, but instead worked hard. Once again the republican smear machine turns her hard work into a negative. And this time we have a tea party on the left, filled with hate and bile, who are piling on with more animosity than they show republican candidates.

of this post, CosmicKitten. Senator Boxer has a new autobiography out, and at the moment I can't think of a single person who might benefit more from reading a book written by a progressive about her 32 years in Congress than you.

"One goal of this memoir is to inspire people to fight for change. It takes what I call the Art of Tough and I've had to do it all my life."- Senator Barbara Boxer

"Anyone who thinks that Washington can't be understood, has no great hearts, and is not crucial to our daily lives will be turned around on all counts by Barbara Boxer's irresistible story of her more than four decades there. Read this as a bridge into the coming political year, and you won't just vote, you'll fight to vote."―Gloria Steinem

"This book offers invaluable lessons about politics and life from one of the strongest progressive voices of the U.S. Senate. Barbara Boxer's life lessons are tried and true. They are pearls of wisdom her readers can live by."―Rep. John Lewis

You know, I really was drawn to the doors he was opening for pushing liberal goals further, and certainly his proposed programs are not politically extreme. But personality-wise, though his company manners are better than those of the zealots' he's drawing, the same personality patterns of extreme righteousness, intolerance and ruthlessness are being revealed over time.

When he couldn't explain how he would turn aspirations into reality in the context of current laws, it seemed to show him as an air dreamer. But as he became more and more hostile and aggressive toward the Democratic Party and revealed a pattern of dirty tactics, contempt for process, and elaborate plans to take the nomination by setting aside the majority vote, I started wondering if there could be a whole different reason why he wouldn't discuss what he would do as president.

Of course, our system of government (and the GOP) should keep someone like that fairly in check and we'd never know how abusive of power he could be. But what if at some point he and his followers were able to join with fellow extremists on the hard right to to block attempts by moderates to limit them in some common goal? Those alliances are usually really bad for a lot of people.

Not a happy thought.

Truer words have NEVER been spoken. I entered this election season with only a vague idea of who Bernie Sanders was. As I learned more about his policies, I thought he was ok, a bit too far left for me, but just fine as a candidate. But his boorish misogynistic supporters are so awful, so off-putting, and SO far out of control that I have been entirely turned off to his angry, shouting message. All he wants is to rile people up - he has no concrete, attainable plans to achieve ANY of his platform.

Rather than authoring a bill - getting support for it - and pushing it through, he has relied on the coattails of others to get changes to their bills passed.

One qualified to be president needs to have experience in "owning" the COMPLETE process of change.

My experience coming in to the primary season is very similar to yours. I was open to either. I have since decided that some smaller steps toward progress are better than his all-or-nothing approach, and that of his supporters.

Millions of homeless school children born into a life of hopelessness, unemployed people dying from lack of basic necessities.

There are serious problems in this country, and they are a matter of life and death.

And the willfully ignorant Hillary supporters are doing far more damage to alzheimers patients and the entire country that my comparison.

If Hillary people are not suffering from a touch of alzheimers...how can they possibly support a 'democrat' like Hillary after watching the downfall of the party from true liberals such as JFK?

How can older people not care what they are leaving behind for younger generations?

I was being nice in assuming it was alzheimers, maybe older 'liberals' turned into greedy sociopaths just like Republicans but they are not aware of it and still self identify as liberals.

Politicians are three dimensional figures and not cardboard saints. JFK who is one of my heroes was all too human. He cut taxes on the rich, had a Republican as his Secretary of State and Secretary Of Defense, expanded the war in Vietnam, and took a pragmatic stance when it came to civil rights.

I know Hillarians just like to throw words out there, despite having no idea of their meaning, kinda like "throw under the bus." It might behoove you to actually know the meaning of the terminology you use before making yourself look foolish.

“Seems Legit” is an expression used as a sarcastic retort to a suspected attempt at deception and is often used to caption image macros depicting factually questionable statements and scenarios.

there is no recognition of context. A process had just occurred which will be eventually reported on when the perpetrators of the crime can no longer be held accountable. But over 4 dozen delegates credentials were sabotaged by the team that has come to be recognized as completely untethered from any ethical principle. So within that context, fuck you Barbara Boxer.

When it's been established that 'sabotage' actually occurred, then we have something to talk about.

Until then, all of this upset is yet another episode of alleged conspiracy, spleen venting, and attacks that are not supported by objective reporting.

In other words, just another day on GD-P.

When you render people powerless they do get upset sometimes. Especially when it's the people we believe are on our side who betray us (Hillary and her supporters).

It's been happening since the early 90s with the Clinton's betraying us. I hate to let them get away with more betrayal of the American people. I don't think most Hillary supporters realize what betrayers they are to the real principles of the party.

used by Nevada Bernie supporters. After the fiasco on Saturday the videos and memes and discussions all focus on the dishonesty of Roberta Lange and the state party executives. We have a choice in Nevada, we can select "none of the above" in all elected positions and that's what's being discussed.

Maybe nationwide that many Bernie supporters will switch, but here, after Saturday? Nope.

But look at the bright side, it's only 6 electoral votes, she can make that up easily in those other contested states, right?
