Does anyone understand why this seems to be happening re Brown/Warren -

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/2012/03/brown_into_the_lead_in_massachusetts.php?ref=fpblg

"While we’re waiting for more results, here’s another detail that may have escaped your attention. There’s no question that Scott Brown has opened up a substantial lead over Elizabeth Warren, and just as the national trend has been moving in the Dems’ direction. Check at these numbers after the jump …

Brown 49.1%, Warren 41.8%"

This is one I just don't understand.....

They just make up numbers and only thrive because people give them legitimacy.

We should not be complacent. Do not forget Romney was governor of Mass, and we lost Kennedy's seat

What makes this even more disturbing is that by 3 votes women almost had birth control pills NOT covered by medical insurance, yet from this poll it does not seem to be a concern that women's rights are being lost, and corporations are taking over the country

I suspect superpac money from the outside is distorting the facts, and the idiots who participated in this poll were influenced by some of that

We better start to turn this around, it isn't thatch far off

Some polls are more reliable than ohers, some use better methods and are therefore more objective as well, but no, they do not "make up" numbers.

And it's way too early.
By the way only 12 - 14% of voter came out to vote in our Ma suburb town today, for what it's worth.

1. In western Mass, Warren has virtually disappeared....just isn't maintaining a presence at all. Meanwhile. Scott Brown is a frequent presence on air, etc. I think Warren has made a tactical error re the Limbaugh debacle...Brown was a lone Republican voice publically criticizing him for his disgusting misogyny. Actually have not yet heard public comment from Warren, though that doesn't mean she hasn't said anything...its just that his reprimand of Limbaugh was swift, public, and quoted in the press. He continues to publically promote some positions that are contrary to the far right which shores up the Indy base...for example, today on local radio his latest position statement described his support of women having equal opportunity to serve alongside men in the military including in combat. I'm an independent (obviously left leaning) and plan to vote for Warren but she seems to be pulling a Martha Coakley...counting chickens that just may hatch in the Brown family henhouse.

Warren and Brown had a publicly touted agreement of sorts to try and tone down the negative ads here....and I have to say to their credit the obnoxious ads have dried to a trickle. Of course its early days yet...and r
the Superpacs can do whatever they want...now that corporations are people and all.

If politics is only about connecting to an audience all the time and not what a person will do in office we are really in trouble. We would be the masters of our own destiny in this country if so many of us were not so damned stupid. The mentality of the country has seemingly declined since WWII.

I am not comparing Scott Brown to Hitler in any way. What I am saying is that Hitler appealed to the crowd rather well. And he was a nut case. I have heard that Santorum connects well too. He is completely crazy.

Scott Brown is just a pretty boy who is an intellectual light weight. It is just such a terrible tragedy that Kennedy's seat fell to that scumbag. Massachusetts voters can blame themselves.

I was just at her first event in a town south of Boston. There was a good sized crowd which had been gathered in a 24 hour phone, e-mail, and facebook announcement. Warren was great. She went around the restaurant individually and then made a speech about creating a level playing field for the middle-class that had everyone clapping and cheering. She is an excellent speaker and seems to truly enjoy one-on-one time with her supporters.

The only problem I see is that she sometimes comes across less warmly in some television interview situations. But she seems like a real quick study.

The MA Dem convention isn't until June. Although she will be the Dem nominee, she isn't technically the nominee yet. I do think she needs to get out there more than she has lately. But she has also been building a strong grass-roots organization during these last few months.

I think her dip in polls is directly associated to all of a sudden people saying she should run
for President in 2016.

Mass. residents do NOT want a senator who is a stepping stone and it seems like (and it may not actually have been true) that her eye moved from Senator to President meaning she is taking it as a given that she will win the senate.

a major tactical error

She should disaavow or do a sherman on 2016 and say she will serve 100% of her term.
