Related: About this forumScott Rasmussen: Romney winning PA, MI and/or MN are "REPUBLICAN FANTASIES!"
Conservative pollster Scott Rasmussen just completed an interview with Sean Hannity on FOX news.
Sean Hannity asked the GOP leaning Rasmussen about the chances that Romney could win PA, MI and/or MN. Rasmussen called such a move quote... "Republican fantasies!"
I have recored the video and uploaded it so that everyone can see for themselves.

Interestingly, FOX's own Sean Hannity agreed with Rasmussen's critique of the Romney campaign's latest move.
This only further proves the point that Romney is moving into traditional Democratic territory because he is still searching for a path to 270 electoral votes. And not because he is truly expanding the playing field.

Nor was John Kerry fooled by Bush's New Jersey head fake in 2004.

(3,003 posts)Bush said "You heard it here first--I'm going to WIN California." He didn't. Gore kicked his ass there.

(2,870 posts)hyper partisan to trying to save some semblance of credibility. I think Rasmussen is likely to--day by day for the next six days--migrate to a point where by Tuesday he will be showing a narrow Obama win. Just self preservation at this point.

(53 posts)Fox is going to end up having to hide him in the same place they've probably hid Ben Stein after he had a stunning moment of honesty on "Fucked and Friends" several weeks ago and temporarily disrupted their regularly scheduled shovelling of bullshit for a few minutes. Appears as though they're going to have to reprogram a few of these guys and fill them back up with a heaping helping of bullshit in time for their post-election bashing and witch hunts of Obama and other dems, as well as help overload the aggregates with bullshit polls.

(25,415 posts)You can take some bad polls and try and make the case but those states are leaning way too Dem at this point. Mittens did not try in those states until a few days before the election. Why? He is desperate as his paths to 270 are growing dimmer and dimmer.

(53,032 posts)He completely ignored polls by anyone but himself. He said Ohio was basically tied, and overstated Romney's polling position in VA and FL. His comments on WI were the worst. He said Romney was "within striking distance," when the latest poll has Obama up by 8 or 9.

(3 posts)But i am worried in 08 the avg dem was excited, even some who had not voted in years. I can not see how the turnout will be anywhere near what it was. In 08 one voted because they liked Obama, or voted for McCain because they liked him, or did not like Obama. My point is that this year Romney will benefit from those who like him as much as he will from those who don't like the POTUS. It will be difficult, but Romney is a better Candidate in 12 than Kerry in 04.

(59,503 posts)If he would have had the Romney advantage on money and the level of media support Romney had, he would have won in a landslide.
Kerry was also honest and had integrity - two things no one could say of Romney.
Not to mention, the Kerry position on health care, taxes, and on the environment all were positions that all the 2008 candidates tweaked - leading their positions to be pretty close to each other --- and their positions on Iraq were variations of Kerry/Feingold.
In fact, after Obama did poorly in the first debate, the pundit class spoke of how the honest Kerry, who has genuine ideological (liberal) positions might have been a poor match for Mitt Romney. ( Looking between the lines, their comments were a compliment to Kerry.
Go to CSPAN and watch a closing week rally from Kerry - then look at the desperate Mitt Romney. Where Kerry was idealistic and positive, Romney is negative and angry.
As to your "concern", I think people know what is at stake. The early voting this year is out performing 2008 - a sign that Democrats are motivated to vote.
