I don't agree with GOP enthusiasm claims

Especially in the all states impacted directly or indirectly by Hurricane Sandy. If there were really that MANY voters so enthusiastic to vote for Mitt Romney, why didn't they vote early?
Now with problems of their own related to Sandy, their last thoughts are NOT on getting Mitt Romney elected. Doesn't it make sense for the conservative Republicans voters to stand by their mantra of "Mitt, you're on your own"?
A natural disaster under a Romney administration would be for he and only his family to take the elevator (that he will not allow anyone else to use) down to the Presidential bomb shelter and to the rest of the nation, "you're on you own".

that's why he was destined to lose before he began. The Republicans basically nominated him because he was the only man left standing by the end of a monstrously long GOP primary season.

It never made a whole lot of sense in any case. Maybe there's a fear gap (how many Republicans are looking forward to "a thousand years of darkness" LOL), but as you point out, it hasn't seemed to have impacted early voting.
