MEMO TO RUSH: Difference between John Kerry and Barack Obama

Memo to Rush who is babbling today about how the exit polls in Ohio showed Kerry was winning and Bush ended up winning the state.

1st--Barak Obama, unlike Kerry, has put Republicans on the defensive on so many issues and every lie against him is rebutted effectively by his team. Kerry's biggest mistake was not being aggressive enough to put Bush on the defensive and playing tepid defense in the face of the lying team of swift boaters.

2nd-- Biggest difference-- Obama team's get out the vote operation and ground game is simply unlike any other previous candidate (Democrat or Republican) as campaign veterans from both parties could tell you and Obama has really put ORGANIZATION in the Obama For America's organization and grass roots operation. It is a swift and brutal machine that is very effectively targeting unlikely voters and also motivating the base. Your hope of beating the odds with all this evidence is a pipe dream, Mr Rush.

8. I've been a Rush fan for years -- I don't hold the "Ayn Rand thing" against him.

I first saw them in '78 on the "Farewell to Kings" tour.

Have seen them five times since then and they blow my mind every time!!

3. Wrong analysis - the difference is the Ohio state party infrastructure that was allowed to collapse

since 1996 was never rebuilt by Dem party chairs until 2005 - Dean went right to work rebuilding party infrastructure in crucial states, especially Ohio's. Kerry won Ohio and did it pretty much on his OWN while the Dem party under Terry McAuliffe's stewardship LOST Ohio for Kerry and the Dem party in the four years BEFORE the party even knew who the nominee would be in 2004.

Gore would have won Ohio if there was a even a halfway competent party infrastructure in the state.

A strong Dem party infrastructure in a state is what keeps GOP election fraud to a minimum.
