Related: About this forumI voted for Obama in TEXAS today
I wish I could help more - but I am stuck in this big red state. At least I can help with the popular vote.

(13,141 posts)every vote is good news.
I'm so glad to have voted last week here in NM but
I keep thinking I need to go vote again.
My first year early voting & it's discombobulating,
and pleasing, both.

(2,393 posts)Hoping the Hispanic population growth will eventually turn us Blue. Love being a Texan but do not love our politics.

(5,066 posts)I will be voting for Obama In Missouri a sate almost certain to go to Romney. My voting for Mccaskill will help keep Harry Reid
majority leader however. And at least unlike Texas dems can win staewide offices here.Conservative Dems are still better than
Republican. Our conservative dem AG running for reelection refused to take part In states suing over Obamacare.

(67 posts)I also live in TX and proudly voted for President Obama last week. This is the first time in a long time when I think my vote will make a difference. The popular vote is going to make a impact, not so much in the outcome of the election, but in the perception of just what kind of country the majority of us want to live in.

(80 posts)Good for you! My husband and I did the same thing on 10/23! I am also in TX...in a very red spot of central TX. I have an Obama/Biden bumper sticker on my car and a couple of signs in my windows, too.

(10,437 posts)Still, we have a fair shot in the Senate race and a very outside shot in others, but the 90 minute wait was essentially for naught as far as EVs go. Both my state and yours are done deals. Still - Republicans vote in MA or NY so so must we in analogous straits.

(548 posts)I voted here in Texas straight Democratic ticket. Texas will be turning blue within the next 10 years. I will begin working on Julio Castro's run for Governor in 2014. Already gearing up. Getting rid of the idiot Rick Perry and replacing him with an AWESOME and brilliant Democrat as Castro will do wonders getting us back to blue once again. Onward and upward my friends.

(66 posts)Romney will win your state and Obama will win mine. But it still feels good to vote.
