Doesn't change the fact that Hillary is a hardcore lib.

A fact is still a fact even if you wish it wasn't.

... and I'll spin it mine. Here's a fact for you: HRC/WJC sold their liberal souls down the river when they paraded in the DLC in sheep's clothing back in the '90s. HRC is hardcore Third Way/DLC/GrandBargain/Neoliberal/NewDemocrat/Progressive Policy Institute.

But hardcore Liberal she is not.

Liberal used to be dog whistle for blacks, feminism, LGBT, unions, hippies, academics and otehr undesirables.

The Clinton wing purposely put distance between themselves and those "liberal special interests" in the 80's and 90's, as part of DLC re positioning.

How soon we forget.

...but that doesn't make it liberal.

Rating liberality according to the profoundly conservative business of our government is a recipe for fallacy.

Hillary Clinton has shown some liberal leanings, but is center-rightish otherwise. Calling her liberal is not the way to get her to change.

In the late 1970s, as large corporations turned into transnational giants, they pumped huge amounts of cash into the political system. This largesse lured, first, the Republican Party, in the 80s, followed by the Democratic Party in the ‘90s, and precipitated a rightward political shift as both parties rewrote their policies to compete for the same corporate contributions.

Before this, from 1932-1976, the Democratic Party as a whole was far more progressive. The issues and approaches advocated today by Bernie Sanders were considered mainstream Democratic ideas by Franklin D. Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and Lyndon Johnson, and even many moderate Republicans. It was common to support strict financial regulation, liberal immigration, social services for the poor, and progressive tax policies.

I haven't found a more recent poll.
Look where the registered voters placed themselves on the scale versus Clinton, etc. on the idiological placement of the candidates
Now imagine where Sanders is on that scale.

http://www.ontheissues.org/Bernie_Sanders.htm

Not a bad website, gives quotes, actions and dates on each issue.
Bernie is 100% on Social Issues. Hilary is 80% liberal. Bernie is more liberal than Hillary, which is obvious.
