2016 Postmortem

Vote.
Get out and vote.
Nothing is certain.
Nothing is guaranteed.
The people who want Trump to be President will do anything to ensure that it happens. They will riot. They will scream. They will threaten.
But they won't have to do anything of those things if you just stay home.
If your favored candidate didn't get the nod, and you don't want to vote for the lesser of two evils, vote the the lesser of two goods; the candidate who was chosen over your favorite.
If you think 'I survived Bush; I can survive Trump', just remember: a lot of people didn't survive Bush. Not on 9/11, not in the US Armed Forces, not in Iraq, not in Afghanistan, and not the economic crash of 2008. Stop thinking of yourself, and think of others.
Vote.
Remember, remember, 2000, November.

A lot of Bernie supporters are veterans of the Bush years. We all learned a lot about compromising.

(443 posts)Was caused by a blood clot. She is now on Coumadin a blood thinner. Is is reason why we did not see much of them hitting him for his age. If Clinton was in better health Brock would went after him like mad. I mean the Clinton Surrogates actually lied about Sanders being indifferent to African Americans because he is white Jewish person and the called him racist.

And Hillary will be light years better than Trump.

(57,936 posts)We shall see what percentage of the votes in the coming elections Bernie needs and will get. I think it is more like 65% needed. He could easily get that in Oregon and the big one, California.
pnwmom
(108,990 posts)and all the other states -- just to catch up in pledged delegates. Other than Vermont, can you name any primary where he has carried 65% of the delegates?
And there are still 719 supers, and he only has 39 of them.

It's time to break that cycle ... time to challenge dogmatic solutions that haven't been working. Time to cast aside the bonds of familiarity and embrace the challenge of making real change. Sure there is risk, but the consequences of not taking that risk are worse.

to Hillary Clinton is legitimizing George W. Bush and his war in Iraq.

If Hillary is responsible for Bush, then Bernie is responsible for the NRA.

(83,846 posts)My dear friend.
I vote Hill. I have a nephew that supports BS. His wife supports Hill. Four years married, New baby girl. In the end he will vote Hill for the sweetest child you have ever seen. He will vote for a woman's future. He will vote for sweet Callie.
Thanks, Hillary 2016. We got this.

(66,436 posts)No one was more disappointed over Hillary's Iraq War vote than I was. But she apologized, I accepted, and moved on. The BernieBots are in such a snit they'd rather have an openly war-mongering Donald Trump for President than vote for Hillary Clinton.
I think the fact that being comfortable with a President Trump abrogates everything Bernie stands for, and is living proof that there is some troll DNA in their gene pool...
Sheshe2, my dear and loving friend (sorry, polished off an entire bottle of Garcon Argentinian Malbec this evening...) I'm voting for Hillary Clinton proudly and without a qualm. And I hope to see you here celebrating on Election Day...

(83,846 posts)Alert stalked out of here for the last 6 months. Back with Skinners amnesty, I stay pretty quiet.
Am I pleased with everything Hill did, no. First and best. She and Obama settled their differences. I respect that, I was always an Obama girl, yet love what they have become together. Her vote, that was a troubling time, yes, she apologized. There is another that has never apologized for their gun support nor their F35's built in their state. I find that disturbing.
Yes. I will be here on election day, we will celebrate! Madam President!
Love you.

We have superdelegates for a reason: to prevent unsuitable candiadates like Clinton from ruining the election by gaming the primaries.

(2,004 posts)I know people who have died thanks to the GOP policies. Appalachia has been devastated by the GOP. Things were improving here during Bill Clinton's presidency. Hillary's plans for Appalachia will bring relief to Appalachia, whether they vote for her or not.
