(5,901 posts)ME, for one. The Democratic Party and the media enabled the Reagan Revolution and Reaganomics, IMO. Not that I've ever voted for a Republican ... nor do I believe Bernie Sanders has ever supported a Republican.

(94,698 posts)As well as a political loser? Running as a candidate on the Green Party would destroy any remaining influence he had in the Democratic Senate caucus.

(5,761 posts)It's funny that you say "Running as a candidate on the Green Party would destroy any remaining influence he had in the Democratic Senate caucus" yet you post articles like this http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511667820
Sorry, from the "Bernie isn't a real Dem crowd", for someone like you to be suddenly concerned about Bernie's influence is nothing sort of bullshit.

(94,698 posts)But how I feel about him personally has nothing to do with my cold-hearted analysis of political reality.

(5,969 posts)I think we will see something similar like what happened in 2008. He isn't delusional. At the time of the convention, he will know whether he has the votes or not.

After negotiations are complete, Bernie will ask his supporters to unite behind the Democratic nominee.

(443 posts)I am kinda confused why there is some urgent need to end it now? In 2008 DNC had less of chance to get GE and I don't recall a urgent need for Clinton to stop. This time around with Trump as RNC candidate it is going to be much easier so not much need to cry sky is falling because not campaigning for GE.
NurseJackie
(42,862 posts)Well ... "I am kinda confused" why you'd say this, when the consensus is that Hillary is "so disliked" and has "so many negatives" and will be "easily crushed" by Trump. (Make up your minds, people!)

(443 posts)I just joined this site because I was interested in finding out more about the election. And here you are accusing me of saying all these things about a candidate that I never said. I just learned about ignore function so unless you retract this post and admit I never said any of those things in my like 5 posts I have had I guess I'll get my first use of that ignore system. Not that you care as reading your posts in this thread it appears to me you are not interested in debate.
NurseJackie
(42,862 posts)Okay. If you say so, I'll take you at your word.
GMAFB! Actually, it's YOU accusing me of saying things that I clearly didn't say.
Look again, and you'll see that my previous post was noting how your words actually go against and contradict this site's consensus opinions about Hillary and her chances of defeating Trump.
Here's what I said: Well ... "I am kinda confused" why you'd say this, when the consensus is that Hillary is "so disliked" and has "so many negatives" and will be "easily crushed" by Trump. (Make up your minds, people!)
Kindly point to the words where I supposedly accuse you of saying things about a candidate that you never said. (I'll wait.)
Okay. Then I can continue to respond to you unchallenged. That suits me fine.
The "debate" is already over. Bernie will not be the nominee.

I exclude all the Republicans who voted/caucused for him to try and get a weak candidate on the Dem side.

(504 posts)As a result of closed primaries. Most independents are vastly dissolutioned with the Democratic Party, and Sanis bringing them into the process in droves.
It just sucks in NY that an independent had to have changed their party last October to be able to vote in the state's recent primary. I wonder if it would have been an open primary, how the results would have been different.....? I don't Hillay would have had the lead that she does.
You guys are going to keep hearing from us Sanders supporters because you're part of the system that is rigged for the establishment.
