BREAKING NEWS: Thanks to the help of so many of us, Alan Grayson has won in fact, has dominated -- the Grassroots All-Stars 2012 contest sponsored by Democracy for America (DFA). DFA asked its more than one million members to pick their top grassroots candidate, and we asked you to vote for Alan. Alan won going away. [br /]
Democracy for America is a national organization founded by Gov. Howard Dean. The group also chose Alan as its Progressive Hero in 2010. He beat out every other Member of the House in his first term. [br /]
The Grassroots All-Stars honor comes on the heels of another big win. Alan recently overwhelmed the field of 13 candidates in a contest hosted by Blue America. The competition challenged Democratic candidates nationwide to have the most people contribute to their campaigns on a single day (January 17, 2012). Alan beat the closest contestant by a margin of 3-to-1. [br /]
Democracy for America has set up a contribution page for its gold, silver and bronze medal winners, right here.[br /]
As we have heard Alan say so often, the People, united, will never be defeated.[br /]
