2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI'm going to pretend to be Donald Trump for a moment. You might not like this.
Bernie Sanders:He's an old jew! Do we really need an old jew running things?!
He's from Vermont, what the hell does he know about running anything? I have companies with more people in them then Vermont.
He's old and white and weird!
Does America really want a communist to come in a run our capitalist economy?! I'm a great business man and I tell you he's dangerous.
He's gonna raise taxes!!
What about his first wife, she must hate him if we never hear from her!
HE IS GOING TO RAISE YOUR TAXES.
Hillary Clinton:
She's owned by Wall St. while I am self funding my own very excellent campaign. She's bought and paid for. Hell I even bought her once. She did exactly what I wanted.
She sent our troops into Iraq, a horrible war that cost thousands of American lives.
Monica Lewinsky.
She's corrupt, Corrupt Hillary that's what I call her.
How many positions can one person have? Now me I change my position because its the right thing to do, she does it because it's right for her.
What about those transcripts everyone? Remember how I got Obama to release his birth certificate, we need to see those transcripts!"
Any other arguments you can think that the presumptive GOP nominee will make against either of our two candidates?

(146,317 posts)He'll drive people TO Clinton, not away from her. Count on it.
But thanks for those right wing attacks on both candidates. It's good to see that you know what they'll be.

(146,317 posts)Fortunately, there are plenty of grownup voters around. They'll do the right thing.

(5,861 posts)That has been more of a Clinton camp attack(strangely).
But who knows. Trump is unpredictable.

(14,177 posts)To go after Bernie. People like Bernie they don't like Donald. When he attacks Bernie it will make people upset even if they think Donald might be better for their tax situation. No telling what that will do. But, it might make people think maybe this guy isn't nice and maybe he isn't a good person.

(2,161 posts)I will not sign TPP, Clinton will. No matter what she says today. Just ask the Chamber of Commerce, they know what's going on here.

(33,224 posts)Cruz will have already traded the audio recordings to him in exchange for being appointed grand high inquisitor.
He won't have to say anything because those recordings will be on a loop at CNN and Fox news.
"Did you know that Clinton wants to bring in more guest workers as engineers and programmers? Makes sense, since the Clinton Foundation hires hundreds of cheap foreign workers, throwing hardworking americans out of work!"

(45,003 posts)- the most incredible narcissist who believes his own bullshit.
- wears so much makeup it makes you really wonder.
- a huuuuuge coke head. Sniff sniff sniff.
- trust fund brat who's really only tanked businesses.
(the successful ones were licensing deals that kept him far away from operations)
- how many bankruptcies?
- woman objectifier (in fact, everything objectifier)
- has the worst taste in everything... ever. Tacky tacky tacky.
- so full of hot air and bluster he's gonna float away to Oz.
- A no-nothing blowhard and schoolyard bully who deserves a good wedgie.
- Looks like someone airbrushed his face with cheetos.
- And good god, that hair. Lord helps us if he does to the country what he's done to his follicles.
ON EDIT: and what's with his ill-fitting suits and red neckties that go down past his crotch.
Looks like a world class clown

(37,748 posts)Trump doesn't debate. He has 30-second half-witted monologues relevant to nothing.

(35,348 posts)logic since day one. Every time the talking heads say he is finished he goes up in the polls. I think of all the
Republicans running he will be the hardest to beat. I hope the Republicans are stupid enough to screw him out of the
nomination otherwise I would bet Trump will be the next president. I don't think the average voter will vote for a
self described socialist and too many people just don't like Clinton.

(35,348 posts)media. Just like today he makes a speech on foreign policy and everyone covers it start to finish. If another
candidate R or D would make a speech pointing out how dangerous he is nobody would listen. Pray we don't have a
terrorist attack here or in Europe after the fall campaign starts.
