Question about Hillary emails:

I understand that the server in Hillary's basement was the one she used exclusively, that she didn't use the government servers at all for email. If that is true, where did she expect to get classified info through email if not through that server?

I have never heard of anyone I know working in government in classified positions to send anything through emails. Classified material is usually discussed in meetings not via emails. What classified emails that they are now saying might be on HRC's server has been retro classified. I know Bernie supporters are waiting for that indictment fairy but she aint coming.

Every email from a foreign leader falls into at least the minimum classification. Also if Hillary had access to the secure communication systems the emails she received from her staff wouldn't have been necessary.

Also the only reason the emails were removed classified is because Hillary didn't do her job. The fact is, if you can understand the declassify codes you'd know that some were classified from jump.

And she is SUPPOSED to mark things classified when she comes on classified information.

And there were 22 of them that were the highest level of classification. Most members of congress were not able to look at them. The Inspector General had to have his clearance raised so he could look into it.

THAT is part of the problem. She KNEW what classified information was, she had a long presentation given to her about it and signed a contract under oath that she understood.

And yet, she set up a private, UNSECURE, UNENCRYPTED server to do ALL of her government business on. And as SoS, her government business, by definition, is going to have loads of classified communications. And she IGNORED all of that.

That SHOULD tell you something about her. If not, you are purposefully avoiding the issue.

Do you think she was allowed to send/receive classified info on the state department .gov account?

by people who sent classified info to her that was taken off one or both of the classified systems. She didn't report that, as the law commands, in violation of a felony statute, 18 USC 793 (f)(2). Her response upon receiving obviously highly classified materials from Sid, for instance, was "keep 'em coming." She not only broke the law, but did so in the most arrogant possible fashion by setting up an uncertified private email server after NSA security told her that the Blackberry was vulnerable.

All those pictures of her using that blackberry in public. . . talk about vulnerable. What was she thinking (or maybe she just wasn't thinking).

channels. Did they think she got no emails?. They all knew. I'm sure they let it slide because Billy boy used to be the President and so it was absolutely OKAY OKEY DOKEY to let all those TOP SECRET emails go into a server in their basement.

We have been told the identity of one retired ranking CIA officer who has been involved in these things on several occasions: the late Tyler Drumheller. He resigned the Agency in 2005 after uncovering the Bush Administration's Curveball WMD frauds. Tyler then went private, working Hillary's 2008 campaign with Sidney Blumenthal. Drumheller died last August of pancreatic cancer in a hospital in Northern Virginia. I would think he was deposed before his death.

What I can't figure out is why Hillary acted as if she had some sort of assurance of immunity from surveillance no matter what NSA was telling her. My first thought was that this was some sort of massive disinformation or counterintelligence operation. But, I think the President would have cleared her when this got hot in March, 2015.

Now, it seems more likely that she and Petraeus violated some sort of trust with the White House. My sneaking suspicion is that this is related to serial regime change in Libya and Syria activities carried out by CIA and State that went beyond the terms of the Executive Order that authorized limited clandestine operations. It may also have to do with pay for play in Libya and preference shown war contractors, particularly Blackwater, in State Dept. contract awards.

In any case, the means at hand to bring both Petraeus and now HRC down was violation of their signed security agreements, related to their retention and sharing of classified information, with unsecure email a common element.

Fox News interview?

Was he signalling the FBI?

Was he letting HRC know that he's hanging her out to dry?

Why did he go on Fox News?

to his earlier statement that he didn't think she has jeopardized national security. But, that isn't his call, until it comes time to decide whether to pardon her, which I think he will at the end of his term. But, not before she releases her delegates, and that not before the nomination is safely tied up by the party regulars. Obama is an institutional conservative, above all - conserve the institutions and their leaders - wouldn't do to have his former Secretary of State and the presumptive Democratic candidate actually indicted.

The thing is, neither strict intent nor actual damage to national security need be shown under the statute she's most likely to be charged with, 18 USC Sec. 793 (e) and (f). Just the fact of mishandling of classified information or failure to report security violations of others is enough to convict her of a 10-year felony. She's cooked if they proceed against her.
