J. Wright did a presser, where he doubled down on AIDS conspiracies and crap and Obama effectively rebuked him. Clinton lost by 62 delegates then went on to not only nominate Obama by acclimation but stump for him in dozens of states.

in 2008 as a deal to help her fundraise to pay off her campaign debts, but I did never bought that as anything but a red herring.

I had been a steady donor to Obama, both primary and general. I got exactly one email from him or his campaign asking me to donate to Hillary and IIRC, he did exactly one fundraiser for her. Staying in the campaign, incurring more debt, in order to cut that deal makes no sense. However, he did nominate her for Secretary of State (after she, her husband and her surrogates had run a rather low down primary campaign against him); she and her husband did stump for him; she did not challenge him in 2012; she's been declared inevitable since 2012; Bernie was her only serious 2016 challenger; and Obama is being fairly helpful to her in her run, while claiming neutrality.

She had no deal to cut.

Any challenge in either 2008 or 2012 would've led to her becoming a complete pariah, it's utter nonsense to think she's that stupid. A contested convention was all the rage here in 2008, I know I spent at least 200-300 posts explaining how asinine that was.

BTW, Bill didn't do squat in 2008, he was very bitter. He did turn around and gave one of the greatest speeches of all time in 2012.

challenge in 2016--no one in 2008 knew what conditions in 2016 would be. But, you knew that.

Along with quite a few other faux Sanders supporters. Once I got blocked from the group I had no reason to keep ignoring you all.

There was no deal, Obama had no reason to make any deal, and his SoS offer was purely magnanimous.

And you won't be adding me to ignore, though I hope you do, your posts are some of most uninformed I've seen and the pointless replies are tiresome. I mean you literally have a sticky in the Sanders forum dismissing the harassing, low behavior of certain overzealous supporters, which is precisely why AA and Latino voters didn't go for Sanders. The very kind of crap I warned about and you threatened to ban me for. (And I eventually got banned for disavowing a banned troll, which is all the more ironic.)

The better he does from here on out, the harder it will be for the Party to suffer collective amnesia about income inequality after the primaries.

Ben currently works with Jared Bernstein and the federal fiscal policy team at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (views expressed on 34justice are his own). He spent the 2013-2014 school year as a math instructional coach at two traditional public schools (one middle school and one high school) in San Jose, CA. He also served on the Executive Board of the San Jose Teachers Association from 2012 to 2014. Prior to working as a coach, Ben taught middle school math and science at his Teach For America placement school.

Surely a math teacher knows the difference between a possibility and and and infinitely low probability and is therefore being extremely disingenuous in his statement.
