the comedic movie "All Hands On Deck." Buddy Hackett played a Native American character and at one point was pissed about something and had to rant in his mother tongue. The movie did NOT have subtitles, but at that point the local station operator knew to drop the subtext "Do you know where your children are?" (or somesuch) in what appeared as a subtitle. This was before we had the word "meme" but that was a common late-night "public service" text/announcement. NOT what the character was ranting about so it totally hilarious (to me at least).
