What @EricaSmegs and @HillaryClinton have showed us is that guns are no longer the third rail of American politics. The game has changed.

After tonight's wins for Clinton, Sanders would need 107% of remaining delegates at stake in order to win the nomination.

I actually agree more with Bernie on guns. Frankly, I'm probably less anti-gun even than Bernie. That being said, it does amuse me how many of his hard-left supporters have softened their stance on guns due to their support of him. Can't they just say that they agree with him on all but that issue?

including those who so peculiarly also dislike powerful women, and it is a major loss for those men in all parties, even the Democratic Party, who would dislike any female candidate for president because she was female.

Joe, most won't admit it to themselves, always preferring to claim many other reasons, but there are millions of these anti- males and no doubt every one of them is unhappy about now. Good. They deserve it. Then they can get over it or not, their choice.

the democratic party that is (hopefully) putting a woman in the WH. For years I worried that the republicans would beat us to it, and would elect a GOP woman first, which would be horrid.

By the way, my husband is also super excited about it and thinks Hillary is a transformational figure not only for women in this country, but for women and men here and all over the world. Feminist men are so sexy.

I've done my homework and I'm as well positioned to survive as I can be when the inevitable catastrophes snowball. The Great Lakes region and especially those of us here with untainted wells/aquifers are best situated although most models are estimates at best.

My concern extends beyond our borders and encompasses all of our fellow human kind.

You own the coming disasters and the real misery ahead. This is way beyond partisan politics. Your nonchalance is as damning as climate change deniers.

But yeah, carry on. Par-tay. Fiddle on as the Titanic sinks. Your "empathy" is noted.

I will be fine, but I worry about the world being bequeathed to our children, grandchildren, fellow humans and living creatures around the globe. Turd Way, MIC loving corporatism spells more death, debt, destruction and destabilization.

Wed Apr 27, 2016, 02:34 AM

The President has no power to pass laws. In this area, the Speaker of the House (since he can determine what bills are bought to the floor) has FAR more power then any President could hope to have. People get strong, personal feelings for their President, but the President is not a King or Dictator. There really isn't much he can do if congress is dead set to block him (Look at Obama).

Bernie is not a war hawk or owned by the likes of Goldman-Sacks (spelling intended).

He wanted to spend the trillions wasted on war and regime change on infrastructure, education and healthcare! He wanted to reinstate Glass-Steagall so there would be no more too big to fails...

And based on your logic, what will HRC accomplish. It'll be Billary 2.0 with repuke loathing and opposition and scandals on steroids. The only things that will get passed are things that Turd Wayers and repukes both love: more war and more corporatization.

moving the money from the MIC to infrastructure, education and healthcare. This board has become a hate-filled cesspool over 2 candidates who at the end of the day, if nothing changes in congress, won't be able to do jack, so why is everyone getting upset.

The Democratic party needs to prioritize control of state and federal legislative chambers then figureheads.
