Let me give you one more reason for doing so. Dennis once told me that he had to move twenty times by the time that he was 17 years old. Dennis’s father had a lot of trouble holding a job. His mother had to raise seven children. They didn’t even have enough money to pay the rent.[br /]
Sometimes they didn’t have a roof over their heads. Sometimes they slept in their car.[br /]
Dennis was the oldest. So each time that they were about to be evicted, Dennis’s mother sent Dennis out to find somewhere that they could live.[br /]
That’s a hard job for a 14-year-old. But it sure did make one helluva good Congressman.[br /]
Most of the time, pain is just pain. But every once in a while, pain gives birth to greatness. Pain gave birth to Dennis Kucinich, and he has made it into greatness.[br /]
That’s the kind of person whom we need to have in Congress.[br /]
