It's Preble County where I'll need the most support. It was added to our district in 2012 during GOP redistricting, and the 43rd went into GOP hands for the first time since 1973.

We have have been canvassing hard, to great reception, gaining supporters, and volunteers with every trip.

I'm running a low-budget (we don't have any other kind of budget), work harder, person-to-person Peanut Butter and Jelly grassroots campaign.

A campaign can never have enough.

because we need a progressive takeover of the Ohio Statehouse, now. If I can win with elbow grease and grassroots support, we can open up the possibility of win all over Ohio in two years by going around the money system.

If you want to volunteer, please get in touch with my campaign here:

https://www.votedavidsparks.org/volunteer

We've already been knocking on doors since before January, and have a great and very energized crew of volunteers already. We'd love to have your support. If you submit your info on my web site above, we will send you phone banking information, with a script, and a personal phone call from the candidate to talk about state issues so that you can do the best job possible.

Here's part of my crew from last weekend:

Thank you!

That the statewide Democratic parties have decided that it isn't worth funding any Democrat in a Republican gerrymanderred district to run because it would be too hard.

... and to legalize marijuana.

That, and the fact that he's been here since 2010 should be good enough. We've seen how useless it is to donate to the party.

But was just putting the question out there, mainly because our campaigns need support and are actively seeking it.

Every D on the ballot is getting my support.

I never really got into the nasty back and fourth that has characterized much of this campaign, at least online. I'm in it to win it, and fight for good policies for middle class Americans and the poor, just for starters. That means I'll be critical on issue stances and methodology held by some within' our ranks, in order to fight for what I believe is right, and ultimately make the party better.

I feel great about the future.

Sanders was the first step. He has shown us that the Sanders agenda is not only right, but a winning idea. Were it not for the structural/institutional corruption and self-interest among DNC leadership and comfortable incumbents, he'd be ahead.

Regardless of the outcome of this election, Berniecrats have shown themselves to be a force in the party. As my generation dies off, downticket Democrats like David will take it over. My hope is that this happens sooner rather than later. We need to make this change at state legislatures and below.
