If Ds keep the Senate and retake the House, then each media outlet will have to come up with some version of "how did the other media outlets misread it?" narrative.

If Congress remains status quo, or if the Rs somehow take the Senate and keep the House, then the narrative will be about Obama being a lame duck/gridlock/Pyrrhic victory.

They will say it was close and then there was a last second jump in support for Obama that let him clinch the election. They will squirm their way out it, just like they always do
