There won't be a contested convention. Get over it.

Right after CA and NJ vote on June 7th, Hillary will be at a clear majority of pledged and super delegates. The super delegates will make it clear they're not budging. Polling will show 70-75% of Dems consider the race completely and totally over. Sanders will concede and endorse Hillary.

That's what will happen. Everything else is just going through the motions until CA has voted.

who are stupid enough or angry enough to put a NAZI in the White House and have a Congress who will take away voting rights for people of color, deport 11 million immigrants, and overturn a woman's right to choose what happens to her body. Yes there are stupid and angry but just not that many.

Unfortunately for HRC, and for her supporters, the pledged and superdelegates are tasked to ensure that the party will not make the horrible mistake of nominating a likely criminal to be president of the US.

Right now, there are numerous investigations into possible illegalities that might have been committed by HRC. If there are any indictments or supoenas, a lot of delegates and superdelegates are going to have to ask whether it is in the nation's interest to nominate a candidate who may well be impeached in the first year of her first term (if, in the eyes of republican congressmen, she is viewed already as having committed high crimes or misdimeanors).

In fact, there is already a movement to initiate impeachment proceedings against HRC as early as the first week of her first term.

so, yes, the convention could be automatically contested due to legal proceedings, if they move definitely, if documents are leaked, etc.

I do not share this opinion. I believe Comey, like most in DC, is a political hack. The "others" have feelings he is a straight shooter, but I have evidence and history on my side. Obama has made it clear he does not want an indictment and does not expect one. To understand anything other than "marching orders received" by Comey would be ignoring the obvious. I believe James Comey is willing to flush his professional reputation in exchange for political expediency.

There will be no indictment because the FBI/Comey is not going to recommend one. This, of course, will be a political, rather than a legal conclusion.

The day Comey announces "No indictment", you will see FBI agents and some DOJ prosecutors resign. These people will be perfectly willing to tell their stories in front of the camera. Since the mainstream media is so fully in the tank for Hillary, they will try their best to ignore these resignations and discredit their stories and opinions.

By this time, DU will be in full Hillary-only mode.

This is where the fun starts.

Of course, Comey may surprise me in which case the path takes a much clearer direction.

It has been an extremely bizarre primary season. It's about to get a lot bizarrer.

It is a great possibility Hillary will be able to present a clear majority before the convention, not the first time this has happened.
There are ways the plane could be landed gently.
