How about Robert and Ted Kennedy,would we know who they if they weren't Kennedys. Al Gore,named after his senator father? Funny how there's no questions on their abilities or accusations that they succeeded simply by having the right family name.

(819 posts)Right now Sanders is closest to FDR and look how Clinton supporters pooh - pooh him. FDR could not be good enough and would be demonized by those calling themselves Democrats and saying his ideas couldn't be done.

(21,849 posts)I think he would have won in 1932 regardless of his name. He was connected to Teddy R through his. In fact Teddy gave Eleanor away at her wedding. (What is the modern phrase?). FDR was the governor of New York and had a lot of political smarts on his own.
