Especially trashing MLK, Rev. Wright, or staying in until the end just in case someone gets assasinated, etc.

Kennedy was the one who stayed in despite being far behind, it was Humphrey who was ahead. In short, he was staying in because something might happen to Humphrey not Humphrey staying in because something might happen to Kennedy.

In point of face, Kennedy was still behind McCarthy in terms of popular vote despite his winning California. Again, Olbermann was just plain wrong but since it was about the hated Hillary no one cares. Had he been this wrong about any other politician of either party he would have had to issue a correction immediately.

9. If thinking you're right makes a person a Republican does that mean you think you're wrong?

I think you have stumbled into a paradox.

However, if you're looking for things that are Republican in nature how about --

Weapons sales to despotic governments

Taking donations while a member of the cabinet from corporations with business dealings before the government

Opposing single payer

Complaining about costs of universal college

Illegal wars of aggression for fun and profit

Any of those worthy of opposing?
