2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWhen Madeline Albright, surrogate for Hillary said Women who don't support other women will burn
in Hell or Gloria Steinem said young girls were only voting for Bernie to meet guys - we were told that Hillary cannot be responsible for what other people say.
Or when Tom Watson that has ties to a Hillary superpac compares Bernie supporters to Nazis, that's no problem. Hillary didn't say it nor should she apologize.
Or when Bill Clinton said Bernie supporters were sexist or when he just said Bernie's young voters are responsible for all the problems in DC - that was okay, because Hillary was not the one saying it... And she cannot control what other people say?
But when the doctor that had input in the formation of the ACA used the word whore at a rally for Bernie; or a surrogate for Bernie brings up Monica - it is then Bernie's fault? Shame on Bernie!
Which is it people? Are Hillary and Bernie responsible for the words of others? Or not?
You cannot have it both ways.

(7,820 posts)Just like they think they can give Hillary credit for good things from Bill Clinton's presidency but it's unfair and sexist to bring up policies she supported at that time that caused a great deal of harm.

(22,871 posts)republican generated scandal against another democratic candidate. It's beyond the pale and unforgivable as far as I'm concerned.

(786 posts)Obvious law breaking, actions of conflicts of interest, so obviously tied to Wall Street and the upper 1%. Never seen such a hawk in Democratic clothes...vote for IRW, depose heads of state and support the deposing of heads of state in Libya, Syria and Honduras. Her record while Secretary of State shows dealing and having more contracts for weapons and military equipment, a 143 % increase over George W Bush. 151 Billion in donations that got these contracts from 16 countries went to the Clinton Foundation.
Clinton is under investigation because of her bad handling of the the e-mails while she was Secretary of State
.
The federal records, regulatory filings and correspondence showed that almost all the 82 corporations, trade associations and other groups that paid for or sponsored Clinton's speeches have actively sought to sway the government lobbying, bidding for contracts, commenting on federal policy and in some cases contacting State Department officials or Clinton herself during her tenure as secretary of state...Clinton's 94 paid appearances over two years on the speech circuit leave her open to scrutiny over decisions she would make in the White House or influence that may affect the interests of her speech sponsors.
She is for the money and her own wealth and power. That is more Republican than Democrat. It is truly awful that so many people support her because she is a woman, a Clinton and/or just a good liar with enough power to control which way this election is being run and control on the outcome....along with the DNC and the powers that be that know that Hillary Clinton will play "the game".

(26,549 posts)Oh wait...that was started by a Democrat, then taken over by Republicans.
(The birther crap started with Sid Blumenthal. It was then jumped upon by the Republicans. This is why Clinton was forbidden to bring Blumenthal on to her staff at State....so she brought him on unofficially.)
