Related: About this forumI expect Bernie to raise hell all the way to Philly and beyond
The "inconvenienced" can piss off.

How would you react?

(5,591 posts)I have zero f*cks to give. I'm over both BS and his "supporters."

(23,671 posts)I would be a grown up and (no matter how much I wanted it to be otherwise) admit it wasnt over yet, so she had the right to campaign for her supporters.
PS-
That "total votes" line is an empty number that is nothing but pure spin.

(154,021 posts)We reporters like that kind of a show.
And we will get at least one floor show this year
The problem, and I keep saying this...you are missing the zeitgeist in the country. And to be honest that will be good for the news business. I am not sure it will be good for the country, entirely different story though

(27,815 posts)If he chooses to make a fool of himself from here on in, that's his choice.
But most people don't like a whiny loser - so if he chooses that path, he'll only undermine whatever positive legacy he could have had as the man who ran a race, but came in second in the end.

(27,815 posts)It should be Bernie's concern - but his ego is such that even when he makes a fool of himself, he's too self-absorbed to notice.
whatchamacallit
(15,558 posts)The rest of us cheer him. Thanks for your concern.
NanceGreggs
(27,815 posts)If Bernie wants to keep pretending he's achieving anything, that's his prerogative.
Besides, keeping up the pretense does keep the money coming in, doesn't it? Those all-expenses paid private jet getaways to Rome for the entire family need to be covered by somebody.
whatchamacallit
(15,558 posts)Sickening.
NanceGreggs
(27,815 posts)... on the basis that you can still win, when you know you can't, is fraud. And spending hundreds of thousands of that donor money on a family trip to Rome is what's sickening.
But you know what they say: "A fool and his $27 are soon parted."
whatchamacallit
(15,558 posts)I know this doesn't compute for folks like you, but I'm happy if all my donation money does is stir up the corrupt establishment hornet's nest. Money well spent IMO.
NanceGreggs
(27,815 posts)... did a lot to "stir up the establishment hornet's nest"!

(15,558 posts)is the dumbest formulation ever. Grade school playground nonsense. But obviously one can't transcend their meager gifts.

(27,815 posts)My own feeling is that the Democratic Party is ideologically bankrupt.
We have to ask ourselves, Why should we work within the Democratic Party if we dont agree with anything the Democratic Party says?
"It would be hypocritical of me to run as a Democrat because of the things I have said about the party."
... Bernie proved himself to be a hypocrite the minute he asked to run on the Dem ticket.
Rosa Luxemburg
(28,627 posts)she may suffer the same fate in this election
NanceGreggs
(27,815 posts)No can can dispute that he put everything he had into winning - but in the end, he lost.
He can now either be a gracious also-ran or a whiny loser - his choice.

(154,021 posts)By the way, the effect of Bernie will nt be known for a while. But this is a sign post of what is going on in the country. You live in Canada, so you are not getting it. There is that of course
