Clinton is not the right person for this country at this time, imo.
Not sure Bernie is either so, for me, it's not really Bernie v Hillary.
I prefer Bernie, and I am against Hillary and what her and the Clintons stand for.

“The abuse of buying and selling votes crept in and money began to play an important part in determining elections. Later on, this process of corruption spread in the law courts and to the army, and finally, when even the sword became enslaved by the power of gold, the republic was subjected to the rule of emperors.” —Plutarch circa A.D. 100

A $12 federal minimum wage at best, and I'd bet on ten bucks per hour by 2020, as if that's something good.

More fracking. More wars. More environmental degradation. More accommodation of climate change denial, even while coastal cities flood regularly.

Here's the essential problem: the global domination on the part of the United States is nearly at an end, and almost no one recognizes that, certainly not those in charge, regardless of their political party. We have thousands of military bases around the world, are engaged in I don't know how many wars. A very large percentage of our budget is devoted to our military -- and another unknown large part is black, meaning we have no idea how much money is involved -- but there's not enough money for all citizens to have even basic health care, our schools (at all levels) are underfunded, and our infrastructure is crumbling. The truly depressing thing is that if either any of the Republicans or Hillary become our next President, these things will continue: American troops will invade more countries, drones will murder citizens, students will only get through college with massive debt.

This is what it must have been like to have been a Roman citizen in the waning years of the Roman Republic, when they stood astride the known world, had established colonies as far away as Britain, employed Greek slaves to teach their children. But the barbarians were at the gates, as they are at ours, only it's not quite as overt. But everything ISIS does, every airport bombing in Europe, every high tide event in Florida that doesn't quite recede, those are the clues.

We are on the long, slow, inevitable downslide of history.
