Very vanilla, milquetoast. Can't say he would add anything to any ticket, except he appears pretty squeaky clean...

Kaine sits on the Armed Forces Committee. I'd rather have a peaceful, thoughtful guy there than all the pompous glad-handlers that normally show up mugging for TV cameras.

* Seen this description 3-4 times on DU recently to describe Democrats.

Well that would explain this statement two days after the NY primary:

Sanders needs to back off on his accusations that Clinton is too much in the pocket of banks and corporations because she benefits from donations to her campaign or to super-PACs that support her, said Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia, a Clinton supporter.

4. Kaine is a good guy. He was on Obama's short list for VP too.

He's against the death penalty and wants to remove the income cap on social security. He's been pushing the GOP to vote on Obama use of the military against ISIS.

He's a former, VA governor, currently in the Senate.
