Can anyone explain why Correct the Record would have to coordinate with the Clinton campaign in order to do what they propose to do? I don't get it. This is apparently in connection with their plan to push back against Bernie Bros on line.
SuperPACs arent supposed to coordinate with candidates. The whole reasoning behind (Supreme Court decision) Citizens United rests on (PACs) being independent, but Correct the Record claims it can coordinate, Watson told The Daily Beast. Its not totally clear what their reasoning is, but it seems to be that material posted on the Internet for freelike, blogsdoesnt count as an independent expenditure.

(1,947 posts)However there have been so much money passed back and forth between her different PACs, and from non-profits that, from what I can tell, are just pass through organizations to hide donors, it does appear that they are last concealing something, if not breaking the law. I plan to make a flow chart out of this when I get time, to show the direction, dates, and amount of the transactions. The real question, I think, is whether Correct the Record is acting as liaison between her campaing and Priorites USA, which does a lot of media buys on her behalf. BTW, Hillary for American paid almost $200,000 to Correct the Record, for opposition research, I presume on Sanders and O'Malley, since there are other entities doing opposition research on the Republican candidates. She doesn't seem to have gotten much for her money.
