Sanders, Clinton announce Wilmington campaign rallies

The Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders presidential campaigns each announced Friday the candidates will be appearing in Delaware in advance of the Tuesday primary.

Sanders, a U.S. senator from Vermont, will hold a rally at The Chase Center on the Riverfront, 815 Justin St., at 1 p.m Saturday, it was announced Friday morning.

The Clinton campaign late Friday announced she will hold a rally at the World Cafe Live at the Queen, 500 N. Market St, at 11:15 a.m. Monday.

Both events are free and open to the public.

Hirak Mukhopadhyaya, president of the University of Delaware College Democrats, said that the competitive nature of the of the national race has likely convinced the candidates to visit Delaware — a rare move for presidential contenders at this stage in the primary.

This is so cool. I still don't know who I'm voting for and Tuesday is right around the corner. My husband laughs at me when I watch debates and tells me I'm in big trouble.

He's camp Hillary. My mom in Bernie, my dad is Hillary. My kids are undecided. One used to be Hillary and one Bernie, but they've flipped to undecided.

I think I will decided in the booth.

There are things I like about both candidates. Things I dislike. I don't think either are as awful and horrifying as either camp makes them out to me. That'll probably get me in some trouble. I've donated to both. And will vote for the eventual nominee.

Can't wait for Tuesday so the pressure is off.
