2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThere is an active primary season for as long as both candidates are in the race
And that means there are more votes next week and in May and in June until or unless someone drops out.
Don't like it? Think one of the candidates is done? Fine. But that candidate has every right to stay in for as long as he feels it is worthwhile to do so--whether it is because he thinks he can win, has the money to do so or just wants to stick around in case the frontrunner has to drop out. Or because he wants to give his supporters a chance to vote for him in the last few states.
I say this simply because I supported Clinton in 2008, too, and I supported her almost to the very end. Way past when the voices advocating her to drop out were a roar and the math said she wasn't going to win. I'm not going to tell Bernie supporters they can't do the same thing.

(8,168 posts)I have no issue with the race going on until it's actually impossible for one candidate to win. I think some want the bickering to stop. Ain't gonna happen either way - might as well get used to it.

(31,170 posts)that is the issue. He can make his case, he can talk about the GOP, but if he continues the misrepresentation against Hillary, he will get push back from the Dem party, which could have repercussions in congress. It sounds like he is trying to find his new footing, and I hope he does and stays in.
