HRC or Bernie should each be willing to add a lot of each others' positions to the platform

Whoever wins in Philly will need to make sure whoever loses does not leave town with a sense that they got nothing.

Whatever you think of Bernie as a candidate(or some of those who claim to support him), his ideas are popular and the voters want the party to go into the fall embracing the sense of both justifiable anger and sincere optimism the Sanders campaign embodies. Whatever you think of HRC, her campaign is seen as more inclusive and multicultural.

A combination of the HRC program on social justice(which all authentic Sanders supporters also support), combined with the Sanders program on economic justice(which the vast majority of Clinton supporters back in large degree), is the path to victory in the fall, whoever we put over the top this summer.

5. A lot of them say they agree with Bernie's critique of corporate control of politics and life.

Most HRC voters don't hate everything Bernie stands for.

You can't possibly know what HRC voters hate or don't hate about Bernie's platform.

from people who say they agree with Bernie on the issues but are voting HRC on the belief that she's more "electable".
If she is, a blended platform wouldn't affect that.

At the same time, I'm always in "creative unity" mode(trying to talk up the idea of some other notion of unity besides the destructive old "you lost, know your place" thing the nominee's campaign usually does).

8. Like what? I don't think Single Payer would be a good platform position, but major improvements

to ACA would fit nicely. Improve SS - like Clinton's proposal to give caregivers SS credit - would fit nicely with increasing the cap. If things work out better great. But let's don't let voters on the fence deem the platform an unobtainable dream.

What does Hillary support on social justice that is missing from Bernie's platform?

See for example: https://berniesanders.com/issues/racial-justice/

...the main source of her additional AA support is not a matter of policy; it's a matter of her having built up a relationship in the community over decades. Bernie can't add that to his resume without a time machine.

And the AA community *does* like Bernie, once they get to know him... (see http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511149130 ) -- but apparently not enough to vote for him over Hillary.
