Swing state TV ad fatigue.

The exact same old ads over and over and over here in NC. I don't think they have much power anymore, for either side.

Seems like Romney has poured a little more money into showing his ads even more than ever in NC in the last few days. But just more of the same old ones. He's really worried about NC I guess, but no revenue to make new ads?

But I spend weekends in a non-swing state.

I don't notice the ads are gone on the weekend, because I don't here them (any more) during the week.

I think the effect of Citizens United is that ads won't work, any more. When you pump that much money into them, overkill mutes them in the end.

I hope.

when I started to get tired of even the Obama ones, as much as I support him. I figure the same is true of the other side.
Low value return on the ad spending (at least for tv ads) at this point.

I don't watch too much tv - I only have a few programs I like. So I do see some, mostly Obama (which doesn't bug me too much). But boy, when I watch the 10pm news, every commercial break both have campaign ads. During a football game my husband was watching was non-stop campaign ads at the commercial break.

I really don't even listen to them anymore. Although willard's annoying voice still pierces my head like an ice pick through the ear.

Ending the Electoral College will stop this swing state nonsense. If Obama wins electoral vote but loses the popular vote, the GOP will be on board along with the Democrats, who got on board when Bush beat Gore.

It's a completely different perspective if you've done your part. The negative RR ads become a complete waste of money. That's piece of mind.

I'm a couple months behind, so I'll be watching Karl Rove ads until after Christmas.

Is really numbing people to them. I don't think they really work much anymore.

But that "Stage" ad ....it's one people just can't forget when they see it. It may have won us Ohio.
