They have almost every resident over 18 in their database. Axelrod leaves almost nothing unused. They had high coverage rate in 2008, but nearly total coverage in 2012.

I believe Axelrod started making similar statements in 2008. Freaked people when he first said Obama would win NC.

I think he really enjoys taunting the GOP, the pollsters, and the pundits.

The Rove guys, and the corporate media they control, are setting up a situation where, absent a blowout victory by Obama:

a) they could use all sorts of dirty tricks to try to top a close election AFTER THE FACT, and the media is already conditioning the public for that; OR

b) if that isn't successful, they will brand Obama an illegitimate President for the next 4 years once again.

So this is not just about bragging rights. It is part of a bigger game.
