Now the media is saying that Romney might win popular but lose electoral. I doubt that will be the case.

Romney couldn't lose the electoral college and have the majority vote BECAUSE there are fewer voters in the states that Romney does win.

Wyoming and North Dakota population is smaller than the average congressional district. And they get 1 vote because of having a congressional district and 2 for their senators like each state does.

Wyoming's population for the 2010 census was 563,626

California's population for the 2010 census was 37,691,912

The senate portion of Wyoming's electoral votes is worth 134 times more than for California.

And it was basically evenly split, but in the end they manged to count more votes for Bush.
