How much do we bet they'll totally suck up to him like the mean girls they all are? To his face, they're going to be as respectful as can be ... then the rest of the week they'll rip him up and run comments out of context.
Not that I care. I might actually tune in for this interview. Then immediately turn them off again.
Go, President Obama! I love that you're willing to take the fight right to them ... as always! (But please stay off Fox News this time. Give them no ground, no respect. They're a faker news organization than the Onion. Don't pretend otherwise, because you ain't getting any of their zombie viewers to vote for you.)

(59,504 posts)enough to make their points. (That is why like you I think Fox is a no go.)
This link of Kerry speaking after the second debate shows that even Scarborough is likely closer to Obama than Romney (Ryan/Norquist) on the budget issue - and Kerry laid it out - not as partisan - but as "serious".

Now, I don't have any idea who watches Morning Joe (demographically) but judging from this, they are willing to hear the Democratic side.

(5,008 posts)Yeah...grant the interview to the bunch that throws you under the bus every single morning. Yeah...that makes a lot of sense. SMH.

You have six more MJs before the election - there is one where they won't be doing the usual Joey circle jerk BS.

(63,912 posts)shows have some influence due to who and how many watch them. MJ is unpopular here but is watched by lots of people who have political significance. I don't think the campaign is stupid.

(11,605 posts)If Obama is going to give his time to a GOP commentator, Scarborough is one of the better ones. That said, I feel like he would be better off giving an interview to a right-leaning commentator on a network that doesn't attract mostly liberals.

(36,974 posts)MSNBC announced earlier today that President Obama will be appearing on Morning Joe this coming Monday. Obama will sit down for an interview with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski tomorrow in New Hampshire for Mondays broadcast.
This comes on the heels of Scarborough saying earlier today that he would be shocked if Obama wins reelection, arguing that his poll numbers dont look good for an incumbent, and no one is going to suddenly decide on voting for him in the final two weeks of the election.
