2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThink about this scenario.
Brokered conventions. Repubs nominate Kasich or Cruz. Trump runs third party. Dems nominate Hillary. Bernie runs third party!
Would love to see those presidential debates.
Should Bernie, on the off-chance he decides he can do more for the revolution by leaving primary race, he should negotiate some things for leaving and endorsing Hillary. Some of the things I would love to see in such a scenario.
1. DWS resigns as chair of DNC and the reigns are given to Elizabeth Warren.
2. Harry Reid is pushed out of leadership and Bernie is given Democratic leader in Senate.
3. Hillary quits taking corporate money and disavows PACs. Plus, she releases transcripts.
4. In event that Hillary is indicted, she immediately suspends campaign.

3) Clinton will continue to play by the rules ensuring we are on equal footing.
4) Only fools are still holding out hope for that. The reality based community is now laughing at people still thinking it might happen.

(14,255 posts)fracking and regime change and cluster bombs and the TPP and Social Security means testing, to name just a few things I hate.
Also - Hillary lies easily and frequently, to get what she wants. Who the fuck would trust her, at this point? not me, that's for sure.

(17,438 posts)Won by party not in WH. If that's the case, a Repub win might not be the worst thing in the long term. Not that I want to see one in the WH, but sure would love to control the legislature with true progressives.
