Related: About this forumWill Hillary Clinton Turn Into Ralph Nader ?
I have a question for Hillary Clinton: Are you going to become a Ralph Nader and try to destroy the Democratic party?
I believe Hillary Clinton has issued a series of attacks that hurt the Democratic Party. Additionally, her extremely high negatives and ever increasing unpopularity may mean that if she is the nominee she will ensure a Republican victory in November, as well as hurt the party's down ticket.
Is Secretary Clinton going to stop attacks that damage Democrats so that she will not hurt those Democrats down the ticket? Is she going to support the party that is in favor of strong and immediate action to address the coming climate catastrophe, ensure that strong and forceful laws and regulations are passed that will protect the 99% from the greedy and power hungry financial elites, reduce the burden of student debt on our young people, end the social security income cap, raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour, stop taking money from financial and fossil fuel interests, try to end the obscene system of money that is corrupting the election system, and stop her campaign from spreading falsehoods about Sen. Sanders positions? Or, will she turn herself into someone who will do what she shouldn't do, and be a Ralph Nader and try to destroy the party when it comes to defeating Republicans in November?"

(1,446 posts)denigrating the DNC yesterday, it seems that he is on a path to taking his supporters and running as an independent.
No, this is not just spin by a random Hillary supporter, listen to the media today.

if she really cared about the Democratic party, she'd end her campaign now

(23,664 posts)Her priorities are as follows:
1. Get elected president.
That's all. There are no other priorities.
If she has to destroy the party in the process, well, tough shit. She isn't afraid of hippies and liberals, but she does fear neocons and banksters.

(898 posts)I think they raise the false issue of Sanders being a Ralph Nader because the want to deflect attention away from Hillary's many, many negatives, her flip-flopping and her inability to refuse money from some of the most destructive sectors of the American economy. By turning the question on Bernie they are attempting to pretend that Clinton is not the one who could be the real Ralph Nader in 2016 by taking the entire party down with her. Democrats should be much more afraid of Hillary than of Bernie.

(898 posts)analyses show that he took away approximately equal numbers of votes from Gore and Bush, or in other ways did not cause Gore to lose. The real reason Gore lost was because of vote rigging and "hanging chads" in Florida, along with a reactionary Supreme Court.
Nader has done a world of good as a consumer advocate, certainly more good for the American people than opportunists like Hillary R. Clinton have or will ever do.
