Getting Frustrated

I typically try not to concern myself with what the media is talking about. Its just a bunch of good looking people in fuck all rattling around in their heads. Networks like CNN and Fox news are pretty much watched by people stuck in doctor's offices and the unemployable. However, the mainstream media is really starting to piss me off. Its one thing when they start up with their false equivocation bullshit and every election is "tied". It is another thing then they are pushing hard for someone like Romney. What are the stories that we got today?

-Romney is ahead among women now. And men. And yet Obama seems to be ahead in the polls. How does that work? Maybe you dig deep for one outlier poll and shove it down our throats?

-How about Romney's momentum! Yes, look at that momentum

He has momentum. Its in the wrong direction but that is just a minor detail

-Several national polls show movement in Obama's direction and a good number show he is doing pretty well nationally. What do we hear about though? One ABC poll that shows Romney ahead by what, a point? And it is funny isn't it? When Obama was up by 4-5 points, the election was "a tie". When polls show Obama up by 1-2 points now, suddenly Romney is ahead?

-What about all of the state polls? Today we got polls showing Obama was ahead in Virginia, Florida, Colorado, tied in North Carolina, way ahead in Ohio. What do we hear? Nothing! Why talk about those?

-We get court transcripts today showing that Romney lied in order to screw someone out of millions of dollars. What do we hear about that? Nothing!

-Romney continues to trend downward in the prediction markets. What do we hear about that? Nothing! But a few days ago when he was trending up for totally legitimate reasons.....the likes of Yahoo news had no trouble running stories about it.

-What about the debates? Romney "won" the first debate and we heard about nothing else for 2 weeks. Obama and Biden when 3 in a row? Crickets. In the first debate, Obama was calm and didn't attack. That's because he didn't want to be there. He didn't care. In the third debate, Romney was quiet and extremely passive. Why? Because he was being presidential of course! He knows he has this election in the bag!

It is unbelievable that the media is pimping so hard for Romney. It is so transparent what they are doing. They are using their medium to manipulate reality so that we have this horse race that doesn't actually exist. Where are the stories about the huge early voting turnout for democrats? Where are the stories about Obama's huge lead in the electoral vote? Where are the stories about the democrat's massive ground operations? Where are all of the polls that show Obama being ahead? Where are all of the stories about the LV models that pollsters are using being completely out of date and severely flawed? Why isn't anyone in the MSM talking about how the much touted Rasmussen and Gallup polls have an extremely unreliable history? Hell, why aren't they talking about the Gallup polls anymore? They stopped mentioning them once Romney's lead collapsed. Coincidence I am sure. Why isn't Wolf Blitzer and Chuck Todd talking about any of these things? Maybe because it doesn't fit in with their severely flawed narrative?

No, I'm sure its because Romney is way ahead. You just have to close your eyes and cover your ears, and suddenly its all so believable.

owns entertainment and news like Clearchannel and well, they're everywhere. We tend to think of it as just this outsourcing company. Bain is a huge company. HUGE. So yeah the big 5 that own most of the media have relationships with Bain guaranteed and Romney is leveraging the shit out of them.

Don't forget also that Romney's 250m worth is HIS claim, but others have said that based on Bain's size and revenue he has to be a billionaire. Think about it. This is a guy who doesn't take orders from Rove or Murdoch.

These little things have gotten left to the wayside but they're there.

My real concern is that as well as buying off the media they've bought off the voting machines in Ohio and a couple of other places.

that the polls are close or that Romney is ahead, the easier it will be to convince the RW that that there is no vote tampering. If people think the rift is farther apart, then it will be hard to either call foul or to convince them that they lost. The Repugs need for people to believe it's close... that's in the favor of those who plan to tamper with the election.

...to they'll drum up whatever is needed to gain ratings... that's why on one hand they talk Romney momentum... while on the other they go on and on about Republican's obsession with parsing rape.

Ratings... End of story.
