McCain wishes Powell would not call himself a Republican. Doesn't think Powell's

endorsement will result in one extra vote. Trying to slam Obama for his bayonet comment and says the US still uses bayonettes. Election too close to call. Momentum is still with Romney. The first debate was the most important debate ever. (On Piers Morgan)

together over 40 years ago.

It saddens me deeply that an ignorant public will focus on political differences and ignore the war we fought when we were young, patriotic, and eager to protect the United States against any enemy just as happened in WWI, WWII, and Korea.

I hope young people will understand and also understand what motivates young men and women to put their lives on the line for what seems to them like an ungrateful public back in the US.

Don't know the answer but I've shed enough tears over buddies who died when mere kids.

Damn I hate war!

I lost friends in the Vietnam War. I also had relatives in the Vietnam War. During that time, there was a Draft. It wasn't voluntarily, we had no choice, especially poorer and middle class youth.

It is admiral ly McCain went to Vietnam and withstood torture under the Vietcong, but a lot of guys didn't come back. So you think the guys that went to that War didn't suffer just as much as John McCain? You think they didn't have families or kids? I respect McCain's service but I don't think he should be given any special treatment than anybody else that suffered in that War, including the families that lost friends and relatives in that War. I respect John Kerry more for calling an end to Vietnam when he came back instead if a guy who is a warmonger. I say this as a veteran.

How dare McCain criticize a fellow veteran while he supports a man that I considered evaded Vietnam while others fought and died while that same man protested for others to go to the War. John McCain don't have any grounds to criticize General Colin Powell. The same man that supported George W Bush and Dick Cheney's Hawkish.

And as an African American, I can see right through McCain and his crap. The same guy that went into the South and honored the Confederate Flag. He is all Politics period. I call it as I see it. There were a lot of other men that were prisoners of the Vietcong.

At least Kerry and Gore narrowly lost so they still had some credibility on all matters.

This is the guy that gave us Palin. Seriously John, shut the fuck up bro..

I could tell he wasn't happy a great deal of the time about decisions being made regarding the Iraq war especially. I thought he should have resigned in protest and held it against him that he didn't. But today, he has inside knowledge of what went on and knows that the people who are advising Romney are the same ones that advised Bush and he knows how dangerous they are. I hope he talks more about that aspect.

Senator MrGrumpy Pants is probably still pissed about that.

Plus his fortune comes from investing in defense contractors.
