Close to 1 million have voted in NC. Obama base is very very strong.

We are all waiting for MattTx number for today. But, here are a few key numbers that I have already received.

There are 6.6 millions registered voters in NC. 1.5 millions of them are African Americans.

In 2008, 700,000 African Americans total voted.
In 2010 sweep of the Republicans, only 500,000 African American voted. Richard Burr(R) beat Elaine Marshall (D) by 300,000 votes in the senate race. In Total, there were more voters in 2010 Senate Elections than in 2008 Elections. So, the Republicans brought everyone.

As of today, 12 days before the elections, 299,000 African Americans have already voted. That is about 70,000 more than at the same time in 2008.

Yes, 70,000 more African Americans have already voted than in 2008 at the same time.

In the next two Sundays, there will be Souls to the Polls events in AA churches all over the state. Churches have buses waiting to carry people to the polls.

African Americans in NC vote over 90% for Democratic candidates.
We cannot predict at this point, but we have to feel extremely positive about what's happening in NC.
I volunteer for OFA in Wake County and this week end, we will be doing doors and phone. If you can help, please join us. NC is winning this folks. We believe we can get over ONE millions AA to vote, that would be 300k more than in 2008.

republicans. If we could get them to the polls, I fail to see why we couldn't win NC again.

of the African American vote so far and less than two percent are voting for the Republicans or identify themselves as Republicans. Another 8 percent identify themselves as unaffiliated so far. In 2008, McCain got 4-5 percent of the African American vote. It will be interesting to see if Romney gets the percentage those Republican Polls have claimed. Gravis Marketing had him getting as much as 15 percent. These are the Polls responsible for Romney's lead in North Carolina. Chuck Todd is also basing his information on these Polls and what outsiders from the campaign claims. North Carolina is still a tossup period.

at higher percentages than for McCain? Nothing as far as I can tell.
If anything Romney should get less votes from African Americans than McCain did.

There are always some who will vote "pro life" even if that candidate promises to put them in prison anyway.

there's no law voting against your own best interest and no law which forces anyone to vote for people wearing "Put the white back in the White House" tee shirts and holler the "n" word at campaign rallies or whenever the spirit moves them.

Put a fetus on an altar in front of any of these numbnuts and they simply lose their minds.

Dumb.
