Passive electioneering refers to the method of influencing the voters to vote for a particular candidate or a party. Passive electioneering is done by wearing campaign t-shirts or carrying pamphlets to the voting location. Election laws in the U.S. prohibit the practice of electioneering. There are many state laws in the U.S. relating to passive electioneering. For example, the New York State Board of elections has prohibited wearing campaign t-shirts at voting places.
