Listen: Chris Kluwe’s New Pro-Gay Ad Will Make You Smile

Even if you’ve never watched an NFL game in your life, chances are you know the name Chris Kluwe. The Minnesota Vikings punter gave every gay man a reason to cheer this football season after he wrote a blistering letter to Maryland Democrat and minister Emmett C. Burns Jr. defending gay rights.

Since then, Kluwe – whose brother in-law is gay – has become even more vocal with his support of the LGBT community and his latest effort to fight a constitutional amendment banning marriage equality has us applauding.

Great ad. I hope his efforts succeed. He's very, very courageous to undertake that sort of determined stance from the world of football, which is growing more enlightened but isn't there yet.
