Fair.org: An ‘Unqualified’ Success at Media Manipulation

http://fair.org/home/an-unqualified-success-at-media-manipulation/

But in the aftermath of the Wisconsin win, the media frame was not about Sanders’ momentum, Clinton’s connection to the Panamanian tax haven or, as US Uncut (4/8/16) reported, three major policy wins for Bernie Sanders, but how Sanders had gone negative and was untruthful. It occupied the news cycle for days, knocking out a barrage of bad press that was hobbling her in the run-up to the New York primary. With a lot of help from media friends, the Clinton people rewrote the news.

I used to think that the conspiracy theories were not true.

Now I wonder what else might be true.

Fortunately many people already don't trust and won't rely on major media outlets to deliver intelligent, unbiased news.

I remember how NPR was a joke during the run-up to the Iraq war. They parroted most Bush administration talking points.
Prior to that I trusted that source and consumed their news on a daily basis.

I learned an important lesson, diversify your sources. It's more trouble to consume, but you can piece together a clearer picture.

they affect your life in very real ways too.

I am really, really biased for doing that... I have been told by local Clinton supporters... even mentioning the Panama Papers is a problem apparently. for that matter, income inequality... for the record, which I find interesting, the only other group of hyper partisans that complaints this much are Trump supporters.

OTOH, some of our hyper conservative readers who are neither Trump or Clinton fans are impressed with our coverage of both the Cruz and Sanders rallies, and have asked if we will cover Trump (when he comes) or Kasich... of course we will,. and unless we have equipment failure, people will have a full recording of the candidate's speech. It is not my job at all to tell people how to vote. We expect no open even from Clinton in San Diego. If we do, we will cover it the same way.

(I carry two recorders for a reason)

You know you are doing it right though when you piss everybody equally, which we tend to do regularly.
