Bronin and Philly Mayor Endorse Hillary

Mayor Luke Bronin joined former Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter Friday in endorsing Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination at the greenhouses at KNOX, Inc. in Hartford.

The endorsement coincided with a visit by Gov. Dannel Malloy, his second trip there in the past month, who met with ex-offenders working for KNOX, a group that maintains community gardens in Hartford.

Malloy spoke with KNOX staff and toured the greenhouse, and ended the event with a press conference.

Kayla Angeletti, fundraising manager for KNOX, said the organization was contacted by Clinton’s campaign on Wednesday, saying Bronin and Nutter would be joining Malloy to speak with ex-offenders.

“She understands the urgent need to invest in our cities and in our infrastructure, she’s taken a strong stand in support of criminal justice reform, and she is by far the most prepared and qualified candidate to serve as our commander in chief,” Bronin said.

I'm hedging my bets in case Clinton wins. I don't want to be on her enemies list, and I need to keep the federal dollars flowing my way.
